Tonawanda City School District Board of Education Trustee Kristin Schmutzler was recognized as a Shining Star Award recipient at the the annual awards dinner of the Erie County Association of School Boards on June 9.
The Erie County Association of School Boards, established in 1930, honors effective boardsmanship through its annual “Shine On!” awards, which include recognition for Rising Stars, Shining Stars, and Medallion Club. ECASB provides member school boards with leadership and support through training and advocacy with the goal of promoting the effective management and delivery of services to public school students.
Schmutzler has been a TCSD School Board member since 2017. She is pictured at left with Akron School Board member Erik Polkowski and Williamsville School Board member Dr. Susan McClary.
