Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz has provided advice on community-based testing options for children experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
A document with the guidance titled "COVID-19 Testing Resources for Students in Erie County" is located at https://5il.co/107lm on the Tonawanda City School District website, www.tonawandacsd.org.
"If your child is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and you are seeking a negative test result so that they can return to school, you have several community-based testing options," the document says.
The document also states: "There are three ways a student can return to school after experiencing COVID-19
symptoms: 1) provide a negative NAAT (PCR) test, or, 2) provide a doctor’s note with an alternative diagnosis, or, 3) stay out of school for 10 days since the onset of symptoms."
