For over two decades, the students of our district have had an early love of science instilled in them by Tonawanda Middle School Science Teacher James Schraufstetter.
Schraufstetter has been with the district for over 25 years and is known for his engaging lessons and experiments that inspire curiosity in his students.
TMS Principal Kristine Strible described him as the type of teacher who makes science come alive in the classroom and who has “consistently gone above and beyond to make learning exciting and meaningful.”
Schraufstetter said he feels fortunate to have spent all these years as an educator, and is so thankful to work with a dedicated group of people.
