While Lori Bieler says she has been blessed to have spent more than two decades working for the Tonawanda City School District, it’s the students and her colleagues who truly feel like the lucky ones.
For 25 years, Bieler has devoted herself to welcoming our Timberwolves to Tonawanda Middle School, passing them on to the High School and watching them become successful adults.
Bieler is the Middle School Reading Specialist and ELA co-teacher for grades 6-8. She says it warms her heart to create educational environments with her co-teachers that differ from one classroom to the next, and she would not be the person she is today if not for the help and support of the school community.
TMS Principal Kristine Strible, calls Bieler an asset to the school, saying in part, “She has touched countless lives—whether leading the ELA department, teaching, mentoring, coaching, or supporting those around. Lori has a heart for students and a passion for excellence, and she has helped create an environment where learners feel supported, challenged and cared for.”
Bieler credits the dedicated faculty as her inspiration, but in reality, she is the one who inspires the rest of the staff.
Join us in thanking Lori Bieler for her 25 years in the district.
