Buffalo bills players pose with TES student

Many members of our community came together last month for the first-ever Tonawanda Cares/Tonawanda Coalition Drug Prevention Event.

On behalf of the Tonawanda Drug-Free Coalition and the Tonawanda Cares committee, we wanted to take a moment to share that our first event was unBILLieve and thank everyone for their contributions.

We were delighted to see that families were engaged and excited about listening to the Buffalo Bills, getting a chance to have their picture taken, asking questions and receiving an autograph from the players who participated in the event.  Their presence (Kingsley Jonathon and JaMarcus Ingram) added tremendous value and impact, reinforcing the importance of our cause. If you see #59 or #46 on the field, make sure to cheer them on!  They truly were so nice and kind to our students, parents and staff.

Families also had a chance to participate in Bill-Ingo, basket raffles and photo booth pictures with families and friends.

Tonawanda Cares is a collective commitment to each other and our community. The committee of administrators, teachers, staff and students is dedicated to providing support to those among us who may be facing unexpected challenges or hardships, whether it be a sudden medical situation or a life-altering circumstance.

We understand that life can sometimes throw unexpected obstacles our way, and during those times, it is essential to know that we are not alone. Tonawanda Cares aims to be that unwavering support system, ready to extend a helping hand and a compassionate heart to our fellow members of the school community.

Our mission is simple yet profound: to demonstrate that we care, and that we are here for one another. Whether it's offering practical assistance, providing emotional support, or simply lending a listening ear, Tonawanda Cares is committed to being a beacon of hope and solidarity for those in need.

After the success of our first event, we're carrying this positive momentum forward as we continue to make a difference in Tonawanda; combating substance abuse and helping our Tonawanda Families in need. Together, we are making a difference.
