Tonawanda Middle School is proud to partner with Sweethearts and Heroes, a national organization focused on social and emotional wellness. The organization stopped by last week to meet with students and staff to share their message of empathy, compassion, bystander empowerment, positive leadership skills and HOPE (Hold On, Possibilities Exist).
After a presentation on bullying, students and staff participated in circle groups where they shared stories, perspectives and emotions.
"The vulnerability, connection, and empowerment observed today with students and staff was truly remarkable and impactful. We look forward to continuing this work together for the rest of the year and into next year," TMS Assistant Principal Kristine Strible said.
