On Saturday February 18th, Tonawanda Varsity Cheerleading competed at the Section 6 sectional’s competition held at Starpoint High School. Facing 10 teams, in the D2 small division, which is the largest division in Section 6 Cheerleading, the Warriors took home a second place finish earning themselves a spot at the State Competition, held in Binghamton NY. Scoring their highest score of the season, an 80.5, only points away from a first place finish. The team is ecstatic to be able to represent Tonawanda at the State level for the first time in Tonawanda Cheerleading History. The team would like to thank the support of their parents, friends and Tonawanda Staff who came to support them at their competition!
Coach Jordyn could not be more proud of the hard work, determination, and perseverance of these 9 athletes. Overcoming so many obstacles they have truly shown what it means to be a Warrior.
Tonawanda will be performing at the NYSPHSAA Cheerleading State competition, Saturday March 4th, 2023, taking on the best teams in the D2 Small division from all over NY state.
