All of our fall sports teams had a wonderful and safe season, but the Tonawanda Boys Varsity Soccer team had a season for the record books!
Finishing with a 13-3 overall record, including a perfect 10-0 mark in ECIC Division VI, our Boys Varsity team capped the season off in the Section VI Class B Championship game at home against Medina. After a hard-fought season with many cold and windy games, the final game of the season turned out to be a beautiful sunny fall Saturday morning that came all the way down to the wire with a 2-2 double overtime tie, and our boys earned the Section VI Class B Co-Championship title, which is the seventh sectional title for the Boys Varsity soccer program who last won sectional championship in 2012. Tonawanda finished the season ranked No. 3 among small schools in the final Western New York Coaches poll, 12th in all of Section VI and 27th in New York State.
As a team, the Warriors scored 42 goals and only allowed 12 throughout the entire season. Senior forward Hunter Hollock was a First Team All-Western New York selection and a first team ECIC-VI choice. Senior forward Tyler Baker and senior defender Jeremiah Goeddertz also earned ECIC-VI selections. Senior midfielders Lax and Ram Biswa earned Second Team division honors, as did junior defender Jonny Goeddertz. Lastly, Tyler Baker and junior defender Ben Eiss made ECIC-VI third team.
Congratulations to our 2021 Boys Varsity Soccer team and all of our fall sports for having a great fall season!
