A significant part of the role of educators is building relationships, and no one understands this better than Tonawanda High School Social Studies Teacher, Eric Zastrow. For 25 years, Zastrow has been connecting with Tonawanda students and staff, starting each day with a smile and a greeting. This habit has earned him the nickname "The Mayor" from his daughter. Zastrow firmly believes in the importance of making connections in life because you never really know what someone is going through.
Zastrow is known for making all of his lessons engaging and encouraging our students to think critically about history. As an educator, Zastrow finds one of the greatest rewards is seeing former students in their roles within the community and feeling like TCSD had a small part in their journey.
Please join us in thanking Zastrow for his years of service and commitment to the students of this community.
