The Tonawanda City School District is very fortunate to have Tonawanda High School Social Studies teacher, Michelle Coppins, who has devoted her entire 25-year teaching career here.
Over the years, Coppins has fully immersed herself in the school community. In addition to her teaching role, she has served on numerous district and building-based committees and currently serves on the Executive Board for the Tonawanda Education Association. She is known by her colleagues for always giving suggestions and solutions to improve the school and district.
Coppins says she is extremely grateful for all the support she has received over the years and appreciates the role she plays in her students’ education. THS Principal Lyndsey Todaro holds Coppins in high esteem saying, “Michelle Coppins is an exceptional teacher! She engages her students in great conversations and holds them to a high standard which brings out their best abilities!”
