Buffalo Bandits Visit Fletcher School

Bandits Visit! Fletcher Elementary was host to the Buffalo Bandits as they visited the students bringing with them their enthusiasm and love for the sport.
The students were excited for the much anticipated event having studied and played lacrosse earlier in the school year as part of their physical education curriculum.
Made possible through the coordination efforts of physical education teacher, Jeff Frey, the Bandits brought with them not only their love for the sport, but also relayed messages to the students about being a leader as well as having no tolerance for bullying.
The students were highly receptive to the messages which were led by player, Mark Steenhuis, who has played with the Bandits for 14 years.  Also present was the team mascot, Rax, who got the students riled up and cheering as the entire student body broke up into two “teams” for a little friendly competition. In the end everyone walked away a winner with each student receiving not only a positive message and influence, but also a ticket to a future Bandit home game.
Now that makes everyone a winner!
